Connect ConnectWise PSA (Manage)

Create a dedicated API member, connect ConnectWise PSA, and sync companies, contacts, sites and configurations.

Connect ConnectWise PSA, formerly Manage, to collect companies, contacts, company sites and configurations for Lexful. This is the PSA integration; ConnectWise RMM and Automate are separate products.

What Lexful reads

  • Companies and contacts, including their types and statuses.

  • Configurations and configuration types/statuses.

  • Company sites and supporting reference data, including countries, currencies, billing terms, tax codes and internal locations.

The default collection does not import service tickets, projects or invoices. Source data flows into Lexful; this connector does not write your documentation changes back to ConnectWise.

Prepare ConnectWise

  1. Create a dedicated security role and API member using the ConnectWise PSA API-member guide. Give the member read access to the companies, contacts, configurations, sites and reference tables listed above, with an access level covering the customers you intend to sync.

  2. On the API member’s API Keys tab, create a key pair and securely save the public and private keys.

  3. Obtain a Client ID through the ConnectWise Developer Portal. It is separate from your Company ID and API keys.

Connect in Lexful

  1. Sign in to the intended Lexful account as an administrator. Open Platform → Integrations → Data sources.

  2. Find ConnectWise Manage and choose Connect. If it is already connected, open the existing connection instead.

  3. Enter the values below. Where the form displays https:// separately, enter the hostname and path without repeating it.

  4. Select Test Connection. Resolve any error, then select Connect ConnectWise Manage.

Lexful field

What to enter

Company Id

Your ConnectWise sign-in Company ID.

Public Key / Private Key

The API member’s matching key pair.

Client Id

The Client ID from ConnectWise’s developer portal.

Api Url

The REST API root for your instance, including /v4_6_release/apis/3.0. For example: https://na.myconnectwise.net/v4_6_release/apis/3.0. Use your actual regional or self-hosted API address.

Check the first sync

The connection test checks ConnectWise system information. It does not prove that every source table is readable or that records have reached your documentation.

  1. Open the connection’s Sync logs and check that the relevant source tables finish successfully.

  2. Review Mapping for source types, statuses and other values. Save any changes.

  3. Open Data sync → Configure sync, save your primary organization, enable the customers you want, and review the available record filters.

  4. Run Sync now on Data sync, review the result, then check a sample organization and its records.

Configure mappings and data sync explains these steps in detail. Collection from the provider and syncing records into Lexful are separate stages.

If something is missing

If only some companies appear, check the API member’s level, territory and company access. Configuration status/type filters are reviewed in Lexful’s mapping and data-sync configuration; connecting does not automatically include every configuration.

A successful test followed by a failed table usually means that table needs additional read access. A successful collection followed by missing records usually means organization matching, customer selection or record filters need review. Include the provider, failed table and visible error when contacting support; never include credentials.
