Before you start
Admin and Support users can create and edit assets within their permitted scope. Existing records must be accessible to the user, and the owning organization must allow editing. A visible record is not necessarily editable.
Create an asset
Open the asset type, such as Documents, Contacts or Locations.
Choose New.
Confirm the owning organization. Select one when starting from All organizations.
Fill in the required fields and any useful optional information.
Choose Create and wait for completion.
Open the saved record and check its details.
The fields depend on the asset type configured for your account. Do not put secrets into ordinary text fields; use the appropriate secure field or password record.
Edit a record
Open the record and use the relevant field-edit control. For document content, choose Edit in the document area. Complete the edit and use Save changes when shown. Wait for saving to finish before navigating away.
Use Cancel to abandon the current field edit. Other staged changes may remain. Use Discard, when offered, to clear remaining staged changes.
Organize and share
Use Add tag to label a record. In asset types with folder display enabled, tags also provide folder memberships. A record can appear in several folders without becoming several copies.
Open Access to review or change direct record access when your permissions allow it. Access changes and document-content saves are separate operations.
Other actions
More actions contains the actions available for the record and your permissions, such as duplicate, move between organizations, revision restore and archive. Read the confirmation before applying an action.
If an action is missing, check role permissions, organization state and whether the record is archived. Do not assume an unavailable control indicates missing data.
